We are thrilled to be dining at the fabulous Signature restaurant this evening. Located in the high-end Oceans Mall on Lagoon Drive in the coastal town of uMhlanga. This culinary gem with its elegant and stylish interior boasts magnificent views. The palm trees outside are reminiscent of Rodeo Drive, which is known as one of the most expensive streets in the world. It is not surprising that the Beverley Hills Hotel is not far off. You can agree the setting is conducive to a culturally elite lifestyle.
This establishment is renowned for its award-winning wine list and carefully curated dishes. Tonight, the mood is set by local jazz singer Anita Muntuza who performs a few select numbers. Our attendant guides us around showing us the private dining rooms as well as the bar area.

We settle at our table and sample the 2017 Warwick Three Cape Ladies. A full-bodied Cape blend with aromas of blackberries and cherries. It is bold on the palate with notes of red fruit and hints of chocolate. For starters, Amanda decides on one of her all-time favourites, the bouillabaisse soup. I also order one of my favourites, the duck trio. While eating we marvel at the décor and furnishings. They truly have created a luxurious fine dining experience.

Our main course consists of spicy chickpea curry for the missus and the braised pork belly for me. The ingredients are fresh and superbly prepared. The combination of flavours and aromas excite the senses and appease the taste buds.

Reluctant to have the evening come to an end we savour our decaf americanos with pouring cream and look on as the discerning dinners begin to dwindle. We reflect on how great our vacation here has been and how fortunate we are to have spent it in a tropical paradise. Ngiyabonga futhi nilale kahle.
